December Daily

Christmas 2010 is part of a new chapter in my life. I decided that I was going to due a December Daily album like Ali Edwards does every year. I have somewhat of a base album complete. I am one who struggles with making pre-layouts. I was very "gun-ho" to begin with but now that its day 4, I'm sinking!

I think the issue I am running into is the fact that I don't do something Christmas-y every day. The tree is up, has been since Nov 26th. I decided that photos of the tree and all the indoor decor was going to be Day 1. Easy enough...

Then day 2 comes around and I'm thinking "what do i put in my album for today?" So as of right now, day 2 (12/2) is blank. Now, we're at day 3 and guess what?! Nothing! So, day 3 (12/3) is blank, too.

Today is day 4 (12/4) and I think I have decided for now, I will try and blog each day. Then later, depending on pics and what not, I will take what I have here and transfer it to my album. So far today, we have hung Christmas lights outside. I will have to wait until it begins to get dark to be able to take pictures.

So, thats the plan for now...we will see!

And now I've done something to mess up my blog...grrr!

Need a new blog name

Wow! It has been a long time since I have posted anything to my blog. Alot has happened, most recently I have gotten a divorce. My original blog name was JP's Creations, which were my initials. Now that I've gone back to my maiden name, I don't care much for JM's Creations. I hope to become more active with postings now that I'm starting a new chapter in my life. :-D

Do you have any suggestions for a new blog name? If so, comment below!

Thanks.

Color Inspiration #48 and a "Hi" card

This is the card I came up with for this week's Color Inspiration challenge over at Kristina's blog. I just received an order from Stampin' Up with the new Stampin' Up Big Bold Cupcakes sizzlit 4-pack dies and the Sweet Little Sentiments stamp set. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to try out my new stuff!

This card was created last night. I found this stack of paper by Black Market Paper Society at my LSS. I free hand cut the flower out of one of the sheets of paper. The 'hi' is shimmery chipboard from Scrapworks.

Color Inspiration #44

Sorry I skipped last weeks Color Inspiration challenge. I didn't have one of the colors she listed and I know you don't have to use them all but I had a very hard time with the combination as a whole. But never fear, I'm back for this weeks challenge! This challenge is using my favorite color combinations:

And here is my take:

I really need a new camera or something...I had a hard time getting a decent picture of this card. Anywho, ENJOY!

Color Inspiration #41

I have seemed to of lost my creativeness lately. I figured the best way to spark it again, is to participate in various challenges. I am a frequent visitor to Kristina Warner's blog and thought I'd start with her Color Inspiration challenges. This week's challenge is this:

Kristina mentioned about possible Valentine's Day cards out of these color combinations. For those that know me, Valentine's Day is my least favorite holiday. I was in need of 2 cards so I used this as my opportunity. Here is what I came up with:

For this card, I used Riding Hood Red SU cardstock as my base, Basic Gray SU cardstock embossed with Diving Swirls folder in my Cuttlebug, Studio G stamp on Whisper White SU cardstock, and Basic Black SU 1/4" ribbon.

For this card I used Basic Gray SU cardstock as my base, Riding Hood Red SU cardstock stamped with a Studio G clear stamp using a Versamark ink pad, Basic Black SU 1/4" ribbon. I didn't use Whisper White on the front of this card but there is Whisper White on the inside.
